Above Visnja Gora is a rising with the ruins of former castle ( castellum Wichselberg ) from the 12^th century.
The castle was a headquarters of Counts of Visnja Gora who established the Cistercian Abbey of Sticna in 1136.

The most preserved part of the castle is a romanesqe tower and some parts of the wall with a smaller tower.

Panoramic view from the castle extends to the Alps. Vista to the valley also display the former strategic position of the castle and the town of Visnja Gora in Mediaeval time.
