Tolminka is a left tributary of Soca river. The confluence of
Tolminka and Soča rivers is southern from Tolmin. Evorsion channels of
Tolminka are very famous. Even Italian poet Dante Alighieri most probably
found inspiration for his poems there. Fine path from Zatolmin (app. 1
mile northern of Tolmin) leads to the evorsion channels. It is a nice family
trip to the "terrific" water flow of Tolminka. Rafting is not allowed.
Left tributary of Tominka - Zadlaščica has also very impresive evorsion
channels. There is very famous triangular boulder sticked between the walls
of the evorsion channels of Zadlascica. Path there is not recomended as
a "family trip", but it is safe for carefull hiker. Fine sight to the waterfalls
- jumpers is from the wooden platforms above the evorsion channels. |
