Najstarejša poselitev Bele krajine sega v čas mlajše
kamene dobe, s katero se v zbirkah začenja ogled razstave. Predstavljeno
je življenje v bronasti in železni dobi pa pod Kelti in Rimljani do pozne
antike, ko je bilo v 5. stoletju na Kučarju pri Podzemlju pomembno versko
in upravno središče.

collection: the Stone and Bronze Age
Bela krajina was first settled in the late Stone
Age. The museum's archeological collection begins with remains from the
Stone Age and features finds that show life in the Bronze and Iron Ages,
under Celtic and Roman Roma Rule, and in the late Classical period (when,
in the 5th century, an importatnt religious and administrative centre was
located in Kučar, near Podzemelj).
