Solčava is the last settlement in the Upper Savinja
valley. It is a starting point to the mountains and beautiful shaped valleys
as Logarska dolina or Matkov kot are. The most famous is Logarska dolina
which was proclaimed as the second nature park in Slovenia. Olseva mountain
(1929 m) is famous by the Potocka zijalka cave (situated at the altitude
1100% m, it is 110 long and up to 40 m wide), where Srecko Brodar leads
excavations in 1928. The cave was used as a hunter's station in the Stone
Age, about 20.000 years ago. Church
