Waterfalls of Slovenia (1993-1998)

Podolski slap

Description

Along the Vršiška cesta coming from Kranjska Gora, we can easily overlook this interesting waterfall. In the opposite direction, we can see it when coming from Trenta immediately behind the camping site. The gorge where the stream flows is called "Po dolu". In the upper part of the stream, there are some smaller waterfalls. The highest is the lower one, approximately 110 m high Podolski slap waterfall.

In its upper levels, it falls almost quadratic to the road, then the third level turns to right at once and disappears in the channels, it falls into a smaller fourth line coming out of the channels under the big wedged rock and going to the highest 40 m high fifth level. This falls in big jet of water into a kettle with beautiful green pool. This part is nicely accessible and from the botanic park Juliana, there is a nice walk to it.
