Only 30 km from Slovenian capital Ljubljana is
a great natural attraction - a gorge Pekel and Pekelski slapovi (Infernal
waterfalls). Only five waterfalls are presented in guides and local maps,
but there are actually seven waterfalls. The most attractive is the
*fifth waterfall.
ACCESS to the entry of the gorge is possible from the Borovnica (before the II.
world war there was the longest rail-viaduct in Europe, and ruins of it
are still visible).Signposts guides well, so there is no need to
worry about getting lost. Visit of this location is really noteworthly.
Important notice: Trail
through the gorge and the access to the upper part of
the gorge is recommended only with the proper boots and hiking experience. |
