Description
Between the Bohinjska Bela and Nomenj is a narrow ravine with high rockwalls. At the bottom flows the Sava Bohinjka river. There is enough room for both a road and a railway.
From the left side of the river flows a modest but permanent tributary. Its lower part is a slide flow waterfall with a height of at least 200 m (656 ft). It might be one of the highest permanent waterfalls in Slovenia. It is clearly visible from the main road, near the abandoned railway station.
ACCESS
From the road Bled - Bohinj, in Soteska. Nearby is a karst spring with a non-permanent waterfall reaching 70 m.
To reach the karst spring, there is no marked path; the only way is to find the river bed of the brook, which is the first one after the right turn from the main road to the rut, following the first bridge from Soteska to Nomenj (about 200 m from the turn).
