| Abbey Notre-Dame de Senanque is situated on the bottom of the Valley of Senancole, northern from Gordes. The abbey building and the church are from 12th century (founded in 1148). The Abbey of Senanque belongs to the Cistercian community who returned here in 1988 after monks were expelled from the monastery in 1903. The church and the monk's dormitory is open for visits. |
