Pokljuška soteska

Pokljuška soteska (Pokljuka gorge) is located on the northeastern area of Pokljuka plateau. The gorge is the largest fossil gorge in Slovenia: strong outflow from the Pokljuka plateau - Ribščica brook had excavated 2 km long and on same places 50 m deep and somewhere 50 cm narrow gorge. Ribščica brook has not a permanent flow nowadays - depended of the season and the weather conditions. Features of the gorge are natural stone bridges, tight passes and 'Pokljuška luknja'.
