A Hidden Natural Treasure

Location GPS: N: 46°06'34"   E: 13°56'14"
Altitude: ~ 254 m (bottom)
Lower Falls: ~ 15 m / 47 ft (total height)

Waterfalls below the Roglca hill (553 m) are a surprise and a real hidden treasure of nature. Lower waterfalls are hidden in a narrow gorge. Though the brook is almost flowing below the main road Idrija–Most na Soči, the falling water is not easily noticeable. It seems there is just another brook of many as a right tributary of the Idrijca river... The most beautiful is the third waterfall up to the stream, which is hidden in a thin kettle of stones.

Access

From Idrija or Most na Soči follow the road to the road sign "11,5 km" nearby the homestead "Kurnik" (about 1.5 km from the road turn to Cerkno). Lower waterfalls are easily accessed directly from the road – just a few steps and you are in the gorge. To visit the third waterfall, follow a thin path from the Kurnik homestead. Upper waterfalls are also accessed from Kurnik via a cart track.
