Javornik Waterfalls

The Waterfalls of Javornik used to be well known among palaeontologists. Nowadays, the location of fossils nearby the waterfalls is overgrown with thicket.

There is no visible footpath to the waterfalls, so orientation is not easy. The best way to reach them is to travel from Jesenice towards Javorniški Rovt.

APPROACH

From the main road, look for a turning to a small electric power station. Follow the right bank of the brook downstream (please note there is no established path) until the top of the upper waterfall is reached.
