At the contact between the limestone of the Trnovo Forest (Trnovski gozd) and the flysch of the Vipava Valley, the mighty karst Hubelj Spring emerges.
During heavy rainfall, a magnificent waterfall system appears above the current water catchment, forming a majestic amphitheatre of water curtains. The water gushes out of numerous holes in the rock, creating an exceptional natural spectacle that is particularly impressive during the rainy seasons.
ACCESS
From the center of Ajdovščina, a road leads along the left bank of the Hubelj stream. The spring is located approximately 2.2 km from the town center, where there is a parking area and the starting point for a natural science educational trail.
