Sežana is a settlement nearby the -Italian border. It is a cultural,
economical and educational centre of the Karsts region. It is important
railway connection between Italy and Slovenia. Sežana was a small village
in the 18th century but started to develop
after the 1857 when the railway Vienna-Trieste
was built. As the centre of Karsts region there are many karts caves in
the neighborhood. It is one of the starting points to famous: Lipica,
Vilenica cave and Regional
park Škocjanske jame. |
