| The settlement Podpeč is situated below the hill of Sv.Ana . There is a quarry where a hard limestone known as Podpeč marble has been excavated. Even Old Romans used the stone from the Podpeč quarry for building Emona (old settlement on the place of the present Ljubljana). Material was also used for National Library in Ljubljana and church in Bogojina. Eastern of the settlement Podpeč is settlement Jezero ('The Lake') where is a nature (karsts) lake. | ||||||||||||
