The Bridge of Trnovo (Trnovski most), constructed between 1928 and 1932, is one of Jože Plečnik's most distinctive architectural achievements. Spanning the Gradaščica stream, it connects the village-like suburbs of Krakovo and Trnovo.

This bridge is unique for its width and the fact that it was designed to be a public square as much as a crossing. Plečnik decorated it with heavy stone balustrades, massive pyramids, and even planted birch trees on the bridge itself, effectively extending the greenery of the surrounding banks across the water. It forms a symbolic entry point to the Trnovo Church and the architect's own home nearby.
