Reconstruction of the former Šentjakobski trg (St. James Square), today known as Levstikov trg, is one of Plečnik's significant urban interventions in Ljubljana's historic center.

Plečnik reshaped the square between 1926 and 1927, creating a balanced space that connects the St. James Church with the rest of the old town. His design included the arrangement of floor surfaces, the placement of greenery (notably the birch trees), and the installation of his characteristic stone ball decorations and lamp posts.
