Tartinijev trg je poimenovan po Pirančanu, violonistu in skladatelju Giuseppu Tartiniju (1692-1770). Tartinijev trg je nastal z zasutjem mandrača in je osrednji piranski trg od konca 13. stoletja. Današnja podoba trga je iz 19. stoletja. Elipsasto ploščad iz belega marmorja je ob 300-letnici Tartinijevega rojstva projektiral arhitekt Boris Podrecca. Tartini circus is named by
the famous citizen of Piran - Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770). The circus
is situated at the place of previous small town port which was filled up.
It is the main square of Piran since the 13th
century but the
present image is from the 19th century. The ellipse shaped circus
was projected by the architect Boris Podrecca. |
