Moravče is a settlement and municipal center in the Moravška valley. The settlement was mentioned in written sources as a parish in the early 13th century. Today, the old round urban arrangement around the parish church of St. Martina. The place became a square in the 19th century, and in 1995 a municipal center. The European footpath E6 leads through Moravče, from the direction of Trojan, Limbarska gora and then continues over the top of Sv. Miklavža in the Sava valley. An important historical figure is the mathematician Baron Jurij Vega, who attended school in Moravče. |
