Planina Košutna is a grazing alpine pasture located beneath the summit of Košutna (1974 m a.s.l.).

On the pasture stands a shepherd’s hut, which for decades served as the central refuge for shepherds and seasonal inhabitants of the mountain. A special place is held by the hexagonal wooden chapel, built in the 1960s in memory of a tragic avalanche that struck the area. The chapel, constructed from local wood and designed in a simple Alpine style, was solemnly blessed on 30 September 1965 and has since stood as a symbol of protection, gratitude, and respect for life in the mountains.

Planina Košutna remains a living testament to traditional alpine herding. The summer pastures, panoramic location, and preserved cultural landscape create a characteristic high‑mountain atmosphere where natural beauty intertwines with centuries of human presence. For visitors, it offers a peaceful, open space beneath the grassy slopes of Košutna, while also serving as a starting point for ascents to the surrounding peaks and ridges.
