Kompotela (1989 m)

Kompotela is a mountain peak in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps rising above Planina Koren and represents an important panoramic and geographical point between Krvavec, Košutna and the broader central Kamnik mountain range.

The summit is distinguished by open alpine grasslands, mountain pasture landscapes and remarkable views toward Grintovec, Kalški greben, Zvoh, Krvavec and numerous peaks of Slovenia’s central Alpine region.

Kompotela forms part of the traditional mountain cultural landscape where alpine grazing, shepherd settlements and historic highland routes have shaped both the natural and human geography of the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.
