      Siena is located in Tuscany, 50 km south from Florence and 65 km from the Ligurian Sea on the West. The citiy is the capital of the Siena province. The city main architectural  features are 
      Siena  cathedral
       (Duomo) from the 13th century and the Piazza del Campo, which  is regarded as one of the most beautiful civic spaces in Europe. Siena’s  university, was founded in 1240 and is still among the most important Italian  universities.  The City remains as an  important cultural centre, especially for humanist disciplines.
