| The area of Foret D'Aitoneis situated eastern from Evisa village. It is known as most beautiful forest in Corsica. The forest covers the area of about ten square kilometres between Évisa and the Col de Verghio (1477m), which is the the highest point in Corsica traversable by road. Well known pools and cascades are Piscine naturelle d'Aïtone which are accessible from the hiking trails. The virtual walk displays the popular trail which goes to the Belvédère. It is a great natural balcony giving magnificent views across the rocks of the Spelunca gorge. |
